About The Avenue A Ensemble
The Avenue A Ensemble is a UK-based group dedicated to the performance, composition and commissioning of new music and performance pieces. The ensemble was formed in 1999 by artistic director Tim Adnitt and musical director Anthony Weeden and has since performed to critical acclaim across the UK.
The ensemble has a commitment to developing music education through its Bar 1 education program and is currently the resident ensemble at Townley Grammar School for Girls, Bexleyheath.
The Avenue A Ensemble recently completed the recording of their debut album of original compositions written specifically for the ensemble. The album will be released in summer 2008 on Weave Records.
